Kevin Carter Named VSU's Spring 2026 Employee of the Semester

VALDOSTA — Kevin Carter is Valdosta State University's Spring 2026 Employee of the Semester.

Carter joined Team VSU in 1990 and currently serves as a plumber with Plant Operations: Maintenance.

During his 36 years with VSU, he has risen through the ranks and obtained master plumbing certification and back-flow prevention certification. He has more than 50 years of experience and is well known for his quick thinking, agility, and ingenuity. In 2016 he earned the University System of Georgia Distinguished Service Award.

When asked what he enjoyed most about working at VSU every day, Carter replied, “I love interacting with the students, and I am inspired every day just coming to work. I have good people to work with.”
