Leah received her early training at the Raleigh School of Ballet, studying under Mary
LeGere in Raleigh, North Carolina. She performed ballet and contemporary works with
the pre-professional company Raleigh Dance Theatre as well as corps de ballet roles
with Carolina Ballet in Cinderella, The Nutcracker, The Sleeping Beauty, The Four
Temperaments, and A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Over the course of her career, Leah
has performed in works by George Balanchine, Merce Cunningham, Martha Graham,
Leslie Jane Pessemier, Tyler Walters, Robert Weiss, and Jawole Willa Jo Zollar, among
others.

Leah served as Ballet Mistress at the School of Evansville Ballet and performed soloist
roles with Evansville Ballet. She was a Teaching Artist with the non-profit organization
Kids Dance Outreach, an affiliate program of National Dance Institute, which brings
dance and live music to public school students in Indianapolis, Indiana. She has also
served as adjunct faculty at Florida State University and co-coordinator of the FSU
School of Dance Conditioning Studio.

Leah holds a Bachelor of Arts in Dance from the University of North Carolina at
Charlotte and completed Charlotte Ballet’s (formerly North Carolina Dance Theater)
Certificate in Professional Training program. Leah received a Master of Fine Arts in
Dance from Florida State University, where she was a Legacy Fellow.

In collaboration with three other artists and Little Sun, Leah choreographed Eye on the
Future, an interdisciplinary film that focuses on the impact of hurricanes in Florida. Leah
has also presented at the annual conference of the American College Dance
Association-Southeast (ACDA) on exploring sustainable practices for dancer wellness.
She is a member of CORPS de Ballet International, a non-profit organization of
researchers for pedagogical studies of ballet. Since 2021, she has coordinated the
organization’s marketing initiatives, social media, and membership engagement.
